Today's number still comes from the birth date. You can still see the Sun and the slower planets. Rising, houses, and the Midheaven need a clock time. The app does not invent one.

How do refunds and renewal work?
Apple processes the payment. Weekly, monthly, and annual renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Ask Apple for a refund. When a refund completes, that purchase is removed.
